Jasmine ( Jasminum grandiflorum )

Extraction is by

Odour - rich, sweet, floral and exotic, slightly heady fragrance.

History - known as the 'king of flowers' and long used in perfumery and therapeutically.

Uses - menstrual pain and cramps. Helpful in childbirth if used in a massage blend on the abdomen and lower back in the early stages of labour; it relieves pain and strengthens contractions. It helps expulsion of the placenta after delivery and aids post-natal recovery. As an antidepressant it is useful in relieving post-natal depression. It also soothes menstrual pain. Useful in skin care fro dry, aggravated skin and in treating dermatitis and eczema. Useful for nervous anxiety , restlessness and depression, boost confidence and creativity.

Blends with - bergamot, clary sage, frankincense, geranium, lavender, orange, mandarin, neroli, palmarosa, rose, rosewood, sandalwood, ylang-ylang.

Safety - non-toxic, non-irritant, generally non-sensitising.
